Why Hire a Private Teacher Instead of a Tutor?

While tutors can be a great resource, they can range from high school students to professionals in a specific subject area.

A private teacher (that’s me!) offers so much more:
🍎 Certified Educator – Years of classroom experience and formal training in teaching methods.
🤝 Relationship Builder – Skilled in connecting with children to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
🧠 Child Development Expertise – Deep understanding of how kids learn at different ages.
📈 Data-Driven Instruction – Able to interpret test scores and pinpoint exactly what skills need strengthening.
📚 Comprehensive Knowledge – Expertise in both subject matter and how to teach it effectively.
🎯 Child-Centered Learning – Lessons designed around your child’s unique needs, interests, and learning style.
🎲 Engaging, Hands-On Experiences – Learning through games, real-world applications, and active participation to keep students motivated and excited.

When you hire me, you’re not just getting help with homework — you’re getting a partner who understands the whole child and knows how to move them forward.

✨ Because your child deserves more than just “getting by”… they deserve to thrive.

Back-to-school can feel exciting and a little nerve-wracking—so let’s make it easier to meet new friends!

Today’s challenge: Find a Friend Who…

✔ Has the same favorite color as you
✔ Loves the same book or movie
✔ Can count to 10 in another language
✔ Has the same favorite school lunch

Encourage your child to share what they learned with you after school—it’s amazing how quickly connections happen! 💛

New school year = big feelings (for kids AND parents)!

Tonight at dinner, try a Feelings Check-In:

💬 “What’s one thing you liked about school today?”
💬 “What’s one thing that was tricky?”
💬 “What’s one thing you’re looking forward to tomorrow?”

This simple ritual builds connection and confidence.

Help your child make lunchtime less awkward with these fun conversation starters:

🥪 “If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?”
🥪 “What’s your favorite dessert?”
🥪 “If you could switch classes for a day, which one would you try?”

Write one on a sticky note and pop it in their lunchbox for a confidence boost.

What is another fun conversation starter prompt you have?
