It doesn't matter if the person or people who hurt you the most share blood and genetics with you, or if they have only known you a short time. When you know it's time to permanently close the door, it's often time to install six deadbolts, too.
Don't turn around. Don't go backwards. Don't repeat old mistakes, patterns, and pain.
These painful, abusive and horrible experiences are preventing you from healing and responding healthily in the relationships that matter most. Don't give anyone that power. That power is yours and no one gets to own your healing but you.
Show up for yourself and for those who are willing to put in the work it takes to have healthy connections and relationships.
Don't give up. And don't give in. Just keep going and growing.
The future is the present forward.
Rather than judging those who ask for help, let's inspire them to be brave and seek support. I've had my share of struggles with this, mistakenly believing that asking for help was a sign of weakness. But I've learned that it's actually a sign of courage. Can we create a society where everyone, regardless of gender, feels empowered to ask for help without fear of criticism? Let's work together to normalize help-seeking and promote a culture of support.

In my experience, people often zero in on our differences rather than our similarities as humans. Yes, we're all individuals, but we're more closely linked, in our experiences, than many seem to acknowledge.
It doesn't matter where anyone is, on any type of journey, overall, we all want to be treated like everyone else. And most of us have zero desire to be singled out or acknowledged for our differences, especially physical differences.
If you bought a ‘57 Chevy, for instance, drop a new engine in it, and rebuild it with original era parts, this doesn't somehow result in a brand new car. Read that again. New parts don't equal a new car just like new parts to a human, whether physical or mental health upgrades or alterations, don't equal a new person.
Most of us just want to be treated like everyone else without special attention or microscopic evaluations. Just treat us like the classics we are! It's simple. 😎

Calm in action is strength 💪
I know so many people right now struggling in silence, so I decided to share snippets from some healing I'm personally going through currently. I'm hopeful it will help someone.
If the way I am feeling, almost constantly, had a voice, it would say to me, "You can't keep allowing yourself to feel this way. You can't continue to let the depression take you so far to the edge, you wonder if you can or will ever come back. You have to believe and know you will. You have to start walking, even crawling back, from the ledge. It's time. You won't survive if you don't man up and fight the hurt inside and just let go.
Get away from the ledge before you do something that will only hurt the animals and people you never wanted to hurt. Just because you are hurting now doesn't mean you will forever.
Get up off the ground and stop returning to it repeatedly. You don't belong there. You weren't called to lie on the ground like a kicked or wounded animal.
Man up and prove to yourself you still have the spirit of a wolf inside. Don't let anyone or anything rob you of your strength or will to survive. Do more than survive. Thrive.
But first, get up, start healing and accepting where you are. Forgive yourself and move on."
This won't fit every person's journey, but hopefully it helps even one person.
