The best time for maternity photos really depends on how you want your bump to look + how you’re feeling, but here’s the sweet spot that I love as your photographer:

🤰 Best timing: 28–34 weeks
This is the “golden window” for maternity photos.
Your bump is nicely round and visible
You’re usually still comfortable moving around
You can still pose without too much fatigue

🌿 If you’re carrying differently:
First baby: closer to 30–34 weeks (bump shows later sometimes)
Second+ baby: closer to 27–32 weeks (bump often shows earlier)

☀️ Avoid waiting too long (after ~35–36 weeks)
At that point:
You may feel more swollen/tired
Movement and posing can be uncomfortable
There’s a higher chance baby could come early

📸 Photographer tip:
If you want dreamy light + outdoor sessions (like Florida sunsets), booking early in the 28–32 week range also gives you more flexibility to reschedule for weather.

📸 For years, photographing families at Disney resort properties was a huge part of my business and something I truly loved. Capturing vacations, celebrations, proposals, and family memories created so many amazing relationships and experiences.

As many of you know, that chapter has changed, and I've had to pivot in a big way. While there is definitely a hole left behind, I've decided to pour my energy into growing other areas of my business that I love just as much.

I'm still taking on vacation clients, just not on disney property. I will also be focusing more on weddings, preschools, schools, sports photography, and the incredible families who continue to trust me with their memories year after year.

Sometimes the path forward isn't the one we planned, but it can still lead to wonderful opportunities. I'm grateful for every client who has supported me through this transition, and I'm excited to see where this next chapter takes me.

Summer is in full swing!! Don't forget we can always choose an indoor studio space to beat the heat & Rain!!! I know a ton of great options too. Not only to beat the heat/rain it also helps when considering the later sunset times in the summer months. No need to wait for golden hour which can merge right into bedtimes for some babies.
