On this day in 2015, marriage equality won in Florida. This came after a ruling in the Brenner v. Scott case from the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida, ruling the former same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional. Today, we celebrate this ruling and prepare for the fight ahead. When we work together, love wins.

We are surrounded by messengers - people, circumstances, dreams, angels, and even our own thoughts - which deliver divine messages of guidance. Some of us are not ready to hear or to act on these messages.

Why?

Some may resist being guided along a path contrary to the plans that they have created on their own.
Others may not know how to listen so they don’t recognize that they have received a message.
And a few who just think that this is all hogwash and ignore what they have heard.

When any of these blockages to listening occurs, we need to identify them and learn how to remove them from our consciousness.

We cannot co-create our lives with our Higher Power until we can listen continuously and act decisively on the messages of guidance that we have been sent.

Sometimes terrible events in our lives are very difficult to let go. If we think about these too often or share the story too much, we might find that the events become a part of identity. It’s good if we can recognize that when this happens, we are driven by the “I want” rather than the “I am.” Perhaps instead of behaving as if we want this event, this story, to be a part of us, it would be better to remove it from our consciousness with a powerful dose of the “I am.” “I AM free of (the event) and I AM moving forward in my life to reach my highest and best good!”
