With most foot problems, there are two main concepts in treatment:
1) reduce the symptoms, and
2) address the underlying cause.
Most times, addressing the underlying cause (esp. over-pronation) will also reduce the symptoms.

I've been tying laces this way in my store for over two years and still haven't run into anyone who has seen this technique before. I do have my own variation that makes the knot much more secure. In the process of making the preliminary knot, keep a grip on the laces with the little fingers. (someday I'll make my own video)

Plantar fasciitis usually manifests itself as heel pain in either one or both feet, it tends to be worst in the morning and the pain can reduce throughout the day. Although uncomfortable, there are ways to help; anti-inflammatory medication and ice are a great way to ease inflammation along with stretching; in addition to proper support day and night.
