The less snuggly of the brothers, Marco, has decided the last week that he would really like to start trusting people enough to curl up with them, instead of just by their feet. He has such pretty eyes!

Seeing this kind of growth is the most rewarding part of the fostering journey, coming in only second to seeing a furbaby thrive in their forever home. 🥰

Both brothers are 9 months old now and still looking for their forever home. At this age, their personalities have blossomed, so you're no longer in the wildly unpredictable stage of kitten-hood.

This, and a crazy amount of fun, are what you can expect with Marco and Polo once they're comfortable. (Doesn't take long for either brother to warm up to humans). 🩵🩵🩵

In 2024, we and so many other rescues and shelters saw record low numbers of adoptions and record high animal abandonment.

When you adopt from us, we have taken substantial time and efforts to make sure the animal is healthy, fully vetted and that we have gotten to know their personalities well. Please consider taking a moment to share. We are really hoping we can find these brothers and the many other kitties (and one dog) their forever homes. Without finding them homes, we are unable to bring in more animals to help.

Marco is a very sweet boy. You likely see more of his brother on our page because Marco tends to be very shy where Polo more than makes up for it. When he cozies up to you like this, it's so stinking rewarding.

He loves his brother Polo so much and wants to be by his side. The pair are never far from one another and this guy needs his lifetime companion.

Velcro kitty Polo here, and his brother Marco, are still looking for their forever home. We were so hoping someone would give them a chance before the holidays.

The brothers were abandoned together in July at a local storefront, fought and won their battle against a nasty case of ringworm right after coming into the rescue, and we would love to see them get their chance at a forever home together.

One is a totally snuggly love bug (sticks to you like velcro)- Polo.
The other is a soft spoken, sweet, awesome foot warmer who occasionally works his way up to your lap, but also loves to tease his hoomans and play play play.-Marco.

They would not do well separated (we have tried). Both love to "talk" to whomever will listen, especially if you have food nearby.

Marco and Polo are preparing for their Yoga with Kitties debut tomorrow morning by getting in some good sleep 😴 💤.

We are beyond excited to participate in this event at the Hiawatha Public Library and get these kitties and a handful of others some exposure and social experience with more humans outside of their foster homes.

Polo is all for a nap anywhere he can squish himself down into. As long as he's touching someone. He's even got a teeny cute snore to go along with it. 🤣
