We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our Kids Ministry Assistant, Hailey Sedlacek for the incredible impact she has made on our church and our children.

Your faithful service has been so much more than a position. It has been a calling lived out day after day. Through countless hours of dedication, unwavering commitment, and a genuine love for every child who walked through our doors, you have helped create a place where kids could experience the love of Jesus in a real and meaningful way.

We have seen your passion. We have seen your servant's heart. We have seen the way you believed in what God was doing through this ministry and how you poured yourself into it with excellence, joy, and faithfulness. The seeds you have planted in the lives of children, families, and volunteers will continue to bear fruit for years to come. While you may be handing off the baton, your influence and legacy will remain woven into the fabric of this ministry. Thank you for every lesson prepared, every event organized, every prayer prayed, every encouraging word spoken, and every moment spent investing in the next generation. We are deeply grateful for you and the difference you have made.

As we celebrate this transition, we are also excited to welcome our new Kids Ministry Assistant Paisley Anderson, Having grown up in this church and been shaped, encouraged, and mentored by the incredible leaders around her, she already carries a deep understanding of our heart and vision for ministry. We are so excited to see how God will continue to use her in this new season. We believe He has great things ahead, and we cannot wait to watch her gifts, leadership, and passion continue to flourish as she serves the children and families of our church.

Thank you for your faithfulness. Welcome to this new chapter. And above all, we give God the glory for what He has done and all that is still to come. ❤️

People don’t trust the Church like they used to. Instead of trying to make the Church look better, we are encouraging people to actually be better. More honest. More accountable. More like Jesus in how we live, not just what we say.

We are going to lean into the tension instead of avoiding it.

Topics we will be stepping into include:

Church hurt and disappointment
Hypocrisy and the gap between what we say and how we live
Shallow faith versus real discipleship
Personal responsibility in representing Jesus well
What authentic, everyday faith actually looks like
The tone we are aiming for:
Honest, not defensive
Convicting, but not condemning
Hopeful, not heavy

We are not here to criticize the Church as an institution. We are calling ourselves and our people higher. This starts with us.

Romans Ch. 4

Pentecost weekend at First Open Bible was something we won’t forget!

We had three services, and we were joined by our friend Evangelist Josh Radford.

People responded to Jesus. We saw salvations, rededications, and moments of real surrender. We saw healing, freedom, and deliverance. We saw people come in heavy and leave changed by the presence of God.

It wasn’t hype. It wasn’t emotional energy. It was real encounters with Jesus changing real lives.
And we are so thankful.

What stands out most is this: the Holy Spirit is still moving today. Not just somewhere far away or in stories from the past, but right here, in real time, in real people.

Jesus is still saving. Still healing. Still restoring what’s been broken. It’s what God has been doing, what He did again this weekend, and what we believe He’s going to keep doing as we keep saying yes to Him!🙌🏼
