‼️ REMINDER ‼️
Fit, healthy, sexy, capable, empowered, etc. does not have a weight limit.
I weighed in at 189 lbs. this morning and feel incredible. 235 days away from a new physique goal for this year and 13 pounds down since I started!
If you would have asked me 10 years ago what it feels like to weigh 189 pounds (and 202 pounds 3 months ago) I would have crumbled. Weight used to be the end all be all of how I felt about my body.
Over the past 7 years I have learned SO MUCH about physique transformation and at the top of the list is that weight matters the LEAST!
The things that matter MUCH more:
✅ How you feel
✅ How your clothes fit
✅ Progress photos
✅ Body fat %
✅ Tape measurements
✅ Performance
✅ Living sustainably
✅ Executing a challenging but realistic routine
✅ Destroying your comfort zone
✅ Longevity
✅ Loving yourself from the INSIDE out
I am so grateful to have the mindset shift that I have. It is exactly what has carried me farther than any scale “progress” ever could.
Now, I barely ever think about my weight subjectively. It is a measurement and a small piece of the pie when it comes to my physique goals.

Today I had TIME to get a good strength session in! Hallelujah! 🥳
I felt SO GOOD today! Performance was on point, feeling super confident about the way I look, and am super eager for growth this year. I have a physique goal to achieve by October 9, 2022 and we are right on track for that! I am down 10 lbs. and 1.3% body fat since November 1, 2021. Slow and steady always wins the race when it comes to physique transformation. AND, ladies, strength training is what helps you truly build and achieve the physique you desire. 💗👌🏼 I missed Wednesday & Thursday so I combined them. Here is what I did today:
✅ Pull-Ups (4 x AMRAP + eccentrics)
✅ Squats (4 x 15 @ 145 lbs.)
✅ RDL (4 x 8 @ 95 lbs.)
I can VERY EASILY spend 2 hours on a strength session. This is not something to rush through. If you want to be effective with your strength regimen you need to:
➡️ Fuel properly! I recommend at least 20-30 grams of carbs and protein within a couple of hours before your workout AND 20-30 grams of carbs and protein within an hour afterward
➡️ Select weights that are CHALLENGING during the last 2-3 reps of each set
➡️ Use the progressive overload technique - always increasing load, reps, sets, or improving your form and technique
➡️ Resting enough between sets to be able to return to the same exercise and execute the same number of reps
➡️ Prioritizing strength over cardio!
➡️ EAT! Enough of the 1200 calorie days. If you want to thrive you have to eat! Get your macros calculated and REALLY put them to work. Eat as much as you can while also adhering you your goal.
➡️ Sleep. Get plenty of rest between workouts. Your body builds during rest and sleep. Do not skip this. It is arguably the most important part!

Favorite ways to spend your free time in IA: Exploring new local food and drink options.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Creating a business from the (literal) ground up. Tire Trained started as a fun idea in my backyard and has grown to a 3,000-sq.-ft. private training studio and another 3,000-sq.-ft. group training studio with 200-plus members.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: My own mindset. The biggest thing I have learned along the way is that if you are not making the progress you would like to, you are the one holding yourself back. Putting mindset first has changed my life.
Someone who inspires you and why: The women who walk through the doors at Tire Trained. I am especially inspired by those who come in feeling intimidated and with the assumption that they cannot do something hard like the workouts here. EVERY SINGLE TIME they show themselves that they CAN do hard things, and they overcome that intimidation. Watching these women step into their power every day inspires me the most!
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Know your WHAT and know your WHY. Be very, very clear on these things and the HOW will play out better than you could ever dream.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I love solitude. As much as I love people and am around them all the time, I absolutely love being alone. I have learned so much about myself by honoring my time alone. Solitude allows me to reflect, create and maintain balance in my life.
What makes someone fabulous: Authenticity. One can truly live in alignment with their purpose and be the most fabulous version of themselves when they are being authentic. Do not be afraid to let people know who you truly are.

The thing that made me fall in love with fitness is that ANYONE can change their life through fitness.
