Linn County Rural Land Use Plan Update

The new Linn County Comprehensive Plan is now effective, as of July 19, 2013! You can find both volumes of the plan here:

Rural Land Use Plan Update County residents and groups have been involved through public input sessions. A Steering Committee and seven Work Groups have been working with County staff to use this input and other research to draft the new plan.

The Board of Supervisors approved the adoption of the Linn County Comprehensive Plan on June 18, 2013! The new plan will be effective on July 19, 2013, and a final draft of both volumes will be on our website soon! Stay tuned, and thanks for all of your interest and help with the completion of the plan!

The second public hearing for the Linn County Comprehensive Plan will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. during the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Jean Oxley Public Service Center. See you there!

Tonight before the Planning and Zoning Commission hearing, there will be a joint meeting with the Linn County Board of Supervisors, The Linn County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Linn County Rural Land Use Plan Committee to discuss the Linn County Rural Land Use Plan and possible updates to the plan.

This meeting will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Jean Oxley Public Service Center, 935 Second Street SW, Cedar Rapids. The public is invited to attend!
