A few quick things before you come:

✨ If you’re seriously interested in adopting, please fill out an application ahead of time. It helps move things along SO much faster for both you and the dogs.
✨ All humans living in the home are required to meet the dog.

♻️ Easy way to help the dogs:
Bring redeemable cans & bottles (including glass!) and leave them bagged in front of our shed anytime. Every single nickel goes back into vet care, food, enrichment, and helping these sweet pups.

Sweet puppy boy Stefan has watched some of his closest friends start their next chapters. His best buddy Goober found his forever family, and his brother Damon is getting ready for his own adventure.

And Stefan? He's still here waiting for someone to choose him.

At just 5.5 months old, Stefan is everything you could want in a puppy—playful, sweet, smart, and always ready for fun. He loves other dogs, is making great progress with house training and manners, and would thrive in a home with a playful canine friend and a yard for zoomies.

As a young puppy, Stefan will also need an afternoon potty break to help set him up for success with his house training. If your schedule doesn't allow for that right now, that's okay—we have plenty of other wonderful dogs who may be a better fit for your lifestyle.

Sometimes the quieter puppies get overlooked while they're waiting for their turn. We're hoping this Saturday is Stefan's turn. His foster family said he's so perfect. 💛

🐶 Fostering a pup = instant soul boost. 💙

We provide everything; food, kennel, toys, treats, p*e pads if needed, all of it. You provide patience, love, and a safe place while they learn the basics (yes, accidents happen 😉).

We ask that fosters bring pups to the shelter on Saturdays (10–2) so approved families can meet them, and that you share a few pics/videos with us each week so we can show them off on our social media pages.

Commitment? Could be a few weeks, could be a few months; some dogs move fast around here and some take a little longer. Either way, you're changing a life. And every foster home opens up another kennel space, which means we can save another dog in need. 🐾

YES! We will accept your clean/dry redeemable cans and bottles but pleeaassee for the love of dogs do NOT park in/on/around/near/in shouting distance of our neighbors parking lot......

NO! They don't have to be separated out.

YES! You can drop them off 🔹ANYTIME🔹 that works best for you! We do not have to be present.

YES! We do need them in some type of bag at least. Please tie a knot if it's a sack so they don't blow open and scatter everywhere. 😁

We have a metal cage out, always. It's in front of the shed by the building on the right when you're looking at our shelter from the road. You'll see the "Cans for Canines" and "Bottles for Buddies" signs on there. There's a metal cage and/or blue tote for redeemable glass bottles next to it.

You can also drop them off at Can Shed and tell them to put it towards Dog Forever's account.

Got a LAARRGGE donation? Or are you a local business with LOTS of redeemable cans you never know what to do with? Give us a holler, we'll arrange for someone to pick them up on a regular basis!

Again... Our parking lot = loves dogs, please park there. We cannot guarantee the love of dogs in other parking lots.

🐾💙 Meet Jett! 💙🐾

If ears could win awards, little Jett would already have a trophy case! This adorable Dachshund mix-ish puppy is just over 2 months old, weighs about 7 pounds, and is packed full of puppy charm. From his precious floppy ears to his sweet puppy eyes, Jett has a way of making everyone he meets smile.

Jett loves squeaky toys, playtime, and making new friends at Dogs Forever. When he's not busy being a silly puppy, he's happy to soak up all the snuggles he can get. He also absolutely adores his mama, Josie, and has been learning all about the world by her side. ❤️

This little guy is dog-friendly and would love a family of his own to grow up with. If you already have a dog at home, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a great fit. We think Jett would also enjoy a home with a fully fenced yard where he can safely zoom, explore, and burn off some of that adorable puppy energy.

A reminder, yes, he's a puppy. He will 100% need an afternoon break to set him up for success for potty training. If that doesn't fit your lifestyle, we have many other wonderful pups who might. If you have a fenced yard, we will be checking the bottom and corners because this little guy is TINY and you'll need to make sure it's completely secure.

💕 Meet Josie! 💕

This darling little girl is as sweet as they come. Josie is a 2-year-old Dachshund- mix(ish) weighing just 16 pounds of pure love. With her adorable face and gentle personality, it's impossible not to fall for her. She absolutely adores people and enjoys getting out for walks, where she's been doing wonderfully.

Josie has also been the most devoted mama to her baby, Jett, and now it's her turn to be spoiled and loved in a forever home of her own. She gets along well with other dogs, though if you have a canine companion at home, we'll want to arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is a good match. We're not sure how she feels about cats just yet, but we'll be cat testing her soon.

We think this little lady would be thrilled to have a home with a fully fenced yard where her short little legs can zoom around safely, followed by plenty of cuddle time with her favorite humans. 🥰
