TOTAL stands for Teamwork Oriented Training for Advanced Lifeguards.
TOTAL Guard improves on deck operations and safety by providing Aquatic Supervisors, Managers and Lead Staff with tools and skills they need. The course is designed to help experienced lifeguards get the advanced deck supervision and management tools they need. Our program uses data gathered from industry surveys and the latest research to make aquatic staff smarter regard- ing accident prevention and response. Water sessions help make staff stronger through conditioning and skill repetition. Scenarios are used at the end of the course work on making lifeguard teams faster when working multiple rescuers and one or more victims.
