Yesterday, after meeting the chaplain of Wasco prison, we preceded to facilitate two services in the C-yard Chapel.
Andy and Arcadio went to A-yard, which is the GP yard , around 11am , while Daniel remained with me. Unfortunately A yard was locked down. We also visited with one man in the minimum , level 1 yard.
This morning we will be going to D- yard , Arcadio and Andy will see if A yard is allowing programs while Daniel and I will remain in D chapel until 1pm.
Sunday morning, we attempted going into D-yard only to learn, no programs allowed due to being short staffed.
We decided to try C-yard again as there was an opening from 9 to 10am. There were other groups scheduled for 10 am service but no one showed. Thankfully we facilitated two services and finished , just after 11am.
The men were very thankful. I told one of the groups , 20 men that we visited 4 times a year and they applauded, wow.
We ended up reaching 78 men over the weekend.

The following is from one of our volunteers, after visiting Corcoran state prison for his first time.
" It was a joy and privilege to fellowship and serve at Corcoran state Prison this weekend. The inmates had a reverence for the Word and contributed with deep insight during discussions. After talking to several inmates one-on-one, I can truly see the Lord's work in this facility and a spirit filled peace and contentment.
As a volunteer new to prison ministry, I did not know what to expect. I felt convicted to serve in this capacity but was unsure why. After attending this weekend at Corcoran, I realize that these are my brothers in Christ. I initially had some misconceptions that I had to " relate to them" in some way, but realized that the foundation is Christ, and all of us believers are saved by His grace.
I look forward to further serving in this ministry.
Through His Grace, "
A. P.

Yesterday, I met with a ten men in B-yard. Every time we visit they faithfully attend seminars. Only two men were approved and on the list , yet the staff allowed the group anyway. There are major problems with the process, many sign up to attend but the list either gets misplaced or lost.
Today , Vitaliy will be joining me along with a first timer, Roman.
We may not be able to go into two yards at same time but will attempt to do so.
The harvest is plentiful..
