If you have a small space and want to grow fruit trees consider using a technique called "Espalier". See my video to see what 5 trees look like along a fence. I harvested 84 lbs of fruit from them.
(excuse the squeaky gate) You prune them so they grow from 2 sides only, rather than from 4 sides.
