We’re excited to welcome Blake Jackson, who will be presenting on Friends of the North Platte—an organization dedicated to protecting one of our community’s greatest natural treasures.

Blake is a co-owner and VP of the Ugly Bug Fly Shop and Crazy Rainbow Fly Fishing & Wing Shooting (2014 Orvis Outfitter of the Year). Raised in Glenrock, Wyoming, Blake turned a lifelong passion for fishing into a career, guiding on some of the most legendary rivers in the West including the Yellowstone, Madison, Gallatin, Missouri, and Bighorn.

Local fishing guide Dustin White has been awarded Orvis Fly Fishing Guide of the Year—one of the top honors in the fly fishing world. It’s amazing to see a member of our community receive national recognition and shine a spotlight on Casper.

Dustin is a fly fishing guide for Ugly Bug Fly Shop!

We are proud to be hosting the 1st Annual Wyoming High School Fly Fishing Championships!

Our guides are fired up to see what these young anglers bring to the water. This marks the very first year Wyoming high schools have had the opportunity to form fly fishing teams—and it’s been incredible to watch it all come together.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the school sponsors, these students have been learning the ropes since the program launched last fall, and it shows.

The future of fly fishing is bright.
