Just a quick thank you to the incredible team at the "Grow Casper Urban Farm" Jenn, Laurel, Marsha, Harold, Keith, Chuck and all of the many Volunteers who have helped build the incredible vision of our farm and community. We couldn't come this far without you.

A huge thank you to the Highland Park "Love your Community " Day. We met some awesome folks and got a huge help in building our Deer Fence and planting. It is with gratitude that everyday we get a little closer to our vision with the spectacular volunteers we have!

📍 Grow Casper Urban Farm & Community Garden

Do you love being outdoors, getting your hands dirty, and making a difference in your community? We’re looking for a motivated Farm Hand / Intern to join our team this growing season!

Approx. 15-20 hours per week

What You'll Be Doing:

👩🏼‍🌾 You'll be helping with our Grow – N – Give program. We grow fresh local produce for food banks right here in our local community.
🌿 Assist with planting, watering, weeding, and general crop care
🥕 Harvesting vegetables
🔨 Assisting with farm and garden construction projects as it pertains directly to growing (trellises, raised beds, etc)

We're Looking For Someone Who:

✔ Enjoys working outdoors in all kinds of weather
✔ Isn't afraid of hard work and dirty hands
✔ Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
✔ Is comfortable talking with people and representing our mission
✔ Can work independently and as part of a team
✔ Is reliable, flexible, and eager to learn

This position is ideal for someone interested in agriculture, horticulture, community development, nonprofit work, or simply spending their summer helping grow food and community.

Because farming depends on weather, crops, and seasonal needs, hours and daily tasks will vary.

At Grow Casper Urban Farm, we're building more than a farm—we're growing food, cultivating community, and creating opportunities for people to connect with where their food comes from.

Probably our most "I've never heard of that" vegetable: Kohlrabi. Eat it raw or cooked, they are a fun exploration into food when your dinner plate 🍽️ feels like you're on repeat. Easy to grow and harvest, stop by and grab some to add some variety to your garden this year.

Opening Day at the farm is a our way of sharing who we are and what we do with eachother and with our community.

🍅 PLANT SALE SPOTLIGHT: JERSEY DEVIL 🍅

Did you know that centuries ago, tomatoes were feared in Europe for their bright, seductive red hue. Between the 1500s and 1800s, they were widely considered poisonous, sinful, and associated with witchcraft 🧙‍♀️ or werewolves. 🤣

Trust us though, this tomato is anything but poisonous. Long, meaty, low seeds, packed with flavor. If you can tomatoes or make salsa, this is one you’ll want to grab at Opening Day.
