Strong Tower
Strong Tower: a church for the rest of us.
We pray Gods abundant blessing and love shine on all of you students as you enter this amazing summer.
I have been thinking all day what are the right words to say to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for the beautiful freedoms of this country. I cannot find any adequate. Pray for those left behind, pray for those who loved someone who gave all for freedoms that they didn’t get to finish living. Thank the Lord for His goodness and grace and mercy over America. And live boldly in the freedom bought with insurmountable courage and selflessness.

🕊️ He has risen 🕊️
Glory to God we serve a risen King. Jesus is alive.
I wrote this several years ago. Still rings true today. What an incredible and merciful and good good God we serve. Take time today to think about this. To sit in the uncomfortable and then thank Him forr the gift of salvation. It cost Him greatly.
There is a song we sing sometimes on Sunday mornings with the congregation and part of the lyrics go “I’ll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross”. No depiction of Christ crucifixion can truly illustrate the reality of gruesome horror that hung on the cross that day. Skin hanging from a beard that was ripped from His face, cloth torn from a bleeding back. 1 lash less than a death penalty forced and cutting thrust upon ahis skin. The swollen bloody bruised mess from beatings, from thorns shoved into his head, and sounds of the people jeering, taunting, mocking. I will never live that. Hell. Not figurative hell. Hell the place, the reality, Hell. Hell is the cost of my sin. I will never know. I will never know because Jesus paid the cost and redeemed me. How do we thank Him appropriately? There is no earthly way. I will do my best to not waste the salvation that He bought with His own body. I will give my all for Him and one day meet Him in Heaven where I can fall on my face in worship before Him. Until that day, I live eternally grateful for the salvation He bought for me. It is finished. That phrase leaves me undone every time I read it. and yet, this was the cost, and, It is finished. Today I encourage you to ponder this, to take some time to teach your children. to love them and hug them. to grow them up in the love of Jesus. to be grateful that you will never know how much it cost. Teach them why we call it Good Friday. And then remind them. Sunday is coming.
Hi...just wanted to remind you that you are Gods favorite. You are loved, and valued, and being prayed over. You are not forgotten you are treasured. That's all. Back to your regularly scheduled day.
