Certified Nursing Assistant — CNA

Develop patient care skills and learn basic nursing skills, body mechanics, and vital signs. Class instruction follows the Wyoming State Board of Nursing’s scope of practice to be qualified to test for licensure with successful completion of the class. Tuition includes testing fees, tuberculosis testing, licensing fees, books, and CPR certification valued at $380. Students must obtain fingerprints and a background check from a local law enforcement agency before clinicals. Financial assistance may be available. 8-Hour MSHA Annual Refresher
Course number : 640001 ID : 26011 Section Number : CTD
All miners must have a minimum of eight hours of annual refresher training — MSHA 30 CFR 48.28. Topics include mandatory health and safety standards; transportation controls and communication systems; escape and emergency evacuation plans; fire warning and firefighting; ground control; working in areas of high walls, water hazards, pits, and spoil banks; illumination and night work; first aid; electrical hazards; accident prevention; health; explosives; self-rescue; and respiratory devices. You must take the annual refresher during or before your expiration month.

AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED for Adult/Child/Infant
Course number : 610525 ID : 26188 Section Number : CTD
Learn first aid, CPR, and AED use based on the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. These are critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. This class is for people with limited or no medical training who need a class completion card for their job, regulatory, or other requirements, or who want to be prepared for an emergency. Participants need to be able to demonstrate and perform skills using mannequins on the floor. Tuition includes the “AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Student Workbook." Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a class completion card. Wear comfortable clothes to class.
