Newkirk Cattle is rolling down from Powell — yes, THAT Newkirk crew — to take care of hoof trimming on Sunday, April 12th. If your cattle need their toes tuned up before the season kicks off, this is your moment.

This is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
I’ve only got about 30 spots, and once they’re gone, they’re GONE.

🥩 1. HOW SALE PLACEMENT WORKS (ULTRASOUND DATA)
This is what determines your ranking for the sale.
The ultrasound gives us REAL carcass info, and the sale ranking uses:

- Carcass weight
- Quality grade
- Yield grade
- All valued using the current USDA pricing sheet

This is the “market” side — the business side — the part that tells buyers what your animal is worth.

🏆 2. HOW PERFORMANCE DRIVE WORKS (ALSO ULTRASOUND… BUT TOTALLY DIFFERENT PURPOSE!)
This is a separate contest with its own awards, its own champions, and its own bragging rights.

Performance Drive looks at:

1. Rate of gain — with a goal of 2.75 lbs per day
2. Ribeye evaluation
- Ribeye area
- Ribeye ratio (calculated from ribeye area + weight)
3. Backfat
4. Intramuscular fat (marbling)

This contest is about how well you fed, grew, and developed your project — not where you land in the sale.

And YES — Performance Drive crowns its own Grand Champion and Reserve Champion.
