Thank you to everyone for all your support, encouragement, and fantastic ideas for new names! Your enthusiasm means the world to us here at Bull Horn and Railyard.

After giving it some more thought, we’ve decided to keep collecting ideas and start brainstorming new artwork for a fresh logo. This event holds a special place in our hearts, and we know it’s vital to our community. To ensure it continues to thrive, we need your ongoing support and our commitment to supporting local non-profit organizations.

With 8 weeks left of RTB, we’re excited to announce that starting this Thursday, we will donate 10% of our weekly earnings to a local non-profit! Let’s pack the house, raise some funds, and keep this amazing community event alive.

Remember, vendors can set up for free as we aim to support local small businesses. If you have suggestions for local non-profits or work with one, please share in the comments or stop by and let’s chat!

Dear Community,

We are reaching out to inform you about an important update regarding our beloved community event, Rock the Block. Due to a recent legal matter involving a trademark dispute, we will be temporarily changing the name of the event. This decision comes in light of a cease and desist letter we received from Jeff Shaffer, who owns the trademark for Rock the Block under a nonprofit organization.

To provide some background, John Huff, the original creator of Rock the Block, entrusted Jeff Shaffer, owner of Dynamic Sound and Light, to continue organizing the event at Yellowstone Garage after John’s departure. However, when Bull Horn Brewing took over Yellowstone Garage, we made the decision to part ways with Dynamic Sound and Light. Consequently, Jeff Shaffer decided to relocate Rock the Block to Sunrise Shopping without John Huff’s permission.

Unfortunately, the event’s relocation did not meet community expectations and it became clear that the original spirit of Rock the Block was being compromised. We were then approached by a member of the nonprofit organization, asking if we would like to reclaim Rock the Block. Thrilled by the opportunity to restore the event to its former glory, we agreed and chose to proceed without involving Dynamic Sound and Light or Jeff Shaffer.

Despite our best efforts to maintain the integrity and community focus of the event, Jeff Shaffer has now taken legal action to prevent us from using the Rock the Block name. As a result, we are temporarily renaming the event while we resolve this issue.

We understand how much Rock the Block means to our community, and we are committed to continuing this cherished tradition under a new name. Our priority has always been to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging community event, free from negativity and focused on bringing people together.

We want to assure everyone that the event will continue to take place every Thursday, including June 27th. We appreciate your understanding and support during this transition. We are excited about the future and look forward to seeing you at our next event. More details about the new name and upcoming event dates will be shared soon.
