Star Yak Ranch

We had an amazing time at the livestock auction yesterday! 🙏🏻 Thanks to all the ranches who purchased yaks from us. We will be back in the spring.

Toasty is such a rockstar and doing so well! 🐫 He’s been here for 2 months and he’s fitting in perfectly.

Getting everyone health certificates and ready for next week‘s auction ! ⭐️ We are so excited.

Nothing better than camel hugs 🐫⭐️

Taking the camels out for a walk in this gorgeous Wyoming wind 🏔️🐫

Here are the two white yak bulls that will be available at the Lolli Bros Livestock Mkt Inc in Macon, Missouri on Sep. 24th!

SNOW TRAIN born 12/05/2023 - sired from our all-star bull STAR Avalanche. He is a white trim with a blaze going down his nose. 100% yak DNA.

CROSSFIRE born 7/10/2023 - sired from the iconic Titanic. He is a solid white and also has 0 cattle alleles (100% pure)

We often get asked why we have so many bulls, and the simple answer is… We are obsessed with genetics! We love to keep as many as possible that look and fit our breeding program, to see how they develop and grow, so we can learn and develop what we want. But now we have too many and these guys are too special to butcher! Great genetics from a happy home.

Bactrian camel party!! 🐫🐫🐫 We just had Dr. Nick Morrow out here at the ranch for a week training and working on our herd! It was such a pleasure spending so much time with him, he has the best energy and has so much patience! Truly a blessing for the camel world to have him.

As the summer is coming to an end, we are excited to start our new breeding program with our white bull Tundra and create some magic out here! 🙏🏻

Toasty, our gelding bactrian camel is such a beautiful soul 🐫 He is so stoic and his eyes are full of wisdom. This year we saw him at several auctions being passed around and neglected so we took him home a few months ago, where he can live his forever life out here in Wyoming, surrounded by peace and quiet 🙏🏻
