Make your summer a safe one.

With summer celebrations and teens setting out with friends on road trips, it’s important to have conversations with your new driver. Everyone needs to practice defensive driving and drive distraction free. Make sure to practice safe driving with your teen and go through your family vehicle’s safety systems with them.

Everyone please take a moment especially today to hug and love the ones around you. Remember the people and the families that have lost and take a minute to reflect on the things that matter in life.

Safety is not just a work thing . . . it's a living thing!! During the holiday season with all the stress, tight schedules, crowds, extra work etc, take extra caution and STOP . . . take 5 minutes for safety and think about the activities you'll be doing. Think about the possible risks of what you're doing . . . whether it's your regular job or hanging up Christmas decorations . Nobody wants to every be in the hospital let alone during the holidays. As we come into the holiday season please be aware of various items around the house. Check smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, speak with your children about escape routes and family meeting points. When it comes to work injuries are higher during the holiday season as we all get busier preparing for family, food and friendships we sometimes let our minds wander. Please keep your mind on the task at hand and have a safe and thankful holiday season from All Around Safety.

Halloween safety practices, including:

Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags to help drivers see you.
Hold a flashlight while trick-or-treating to help you see and others see you. WALK and don’t run from house to house.
Never walk near lit candles or luminaries. Be sure to wear flame-resistant costumes.
Wear well-fitting masks, costumes, and shoes to avoid blocked vision, trips, and falls. Be safe out the and try not to indulge in too much candy.

As summer draws to end and school starts please remember, check around your vehicle 360 degrees you never know what hazards or who's life you could be saving.
