Urgent help needed! This is Miss Padme. She has a long history that is below, but she is in need of immediate placement. Ideal would be someone without other critters or kids, and with familiarity with the pit breeds.
Padme came to us as a 7 week old pup with 7 of her siblings, who have all found great forever homes.
This poor girl has been adopted 3 times. The first home was starving her and her brother, locking them in a small kennel together where they were on top of each other. The second home returned her because they just were not prepared for the still puppy behaviors of chewing. The third home returned her saying she had attacked their cat, no reported lasting injuries.
She has been with us now for almost two years. We've not had another approved application for her. We've never noticed an issue with her and our cat, nor our male dogs, nor the kids. In fact she loves kids and is very protective of them.
Padme has gotten into arguments with the other female canine here, but they also play well together 90% of the time. This morning, she got ahold of the other female and would not let go. (No lasting injuries) But very concerning in placing her with any children or other critters.
As we are solely run out of pocket and out of our home, we really have never had the set up to keep dogs separated for long term, and unfortunately with closing the rescue and our impending move, Padme really needs another place with someone willing to work with her.
She still has kennel anxiety sometimes, but will kennel when asked and is used to sleeping in one, and being in one while we are not home supervising. Padme Will walk on a leash, sit for food, follow basic commands, and enjoys car rides. She is house trained and will play fetch and tug o war.
Padme is a great girl and has really gained our love. With that comes the very tough decisions knowing she can be a risk, and needs someone knowledgeable to take her on for her life to really be fulfilled. Please if you have any leads let us know. We know we will not have the ability to house her past this week. Can message the rescue or call/text directly at 307-262-7078.

This beautiful boy is Duke. Sir Dukertons for formality. He's about 3yrs old, seems to be pure bed border Collie. He's been a resident with us for most of his life and we intended for him to stay. Unfortunately our intent to get land is falling apart and we don't want him to have to wait any longer. This boy loves the outdoors! He will run hard when given the opportunity but could also sit in his bed all day if the opportunity to run didn't rise. He's great with other dogs, Great with kids, and the critters he's been around. Very gentle mentality. Kennel trained, house trained. Could likely be a great worker as he is eager to please. Utd and fixed. Adoption applications are available in person or by email. We ask for a refundable adoption fee of $200 to ensure he goes to a good home. He also will come with a bag of dog food, his kennel, collar, leash, and bowl.

Meet Nicholas Cage! He is a 3yr old Kenyan sand boa. Tiny for his age, but healthy. He used to struggle eating, demanding only to have live feedings. But he's doing great and has not skipped a meal in quite a while! He's on f/t pinkies currently. He is looking for his forever home. He will come with his locking tank, and decor chosen by his new owner as we have plenty to spare. We do have an application and are asking a $100 adoption fee to ensure he goes to a stable home. I am definitely behind but wanted to give an update! Lenny, now Timmy, has successfully found his people!! He's been with them a few weeks now and attached upon first meet. Very happy for this boy who deserves soooo much love and is finally getting it all! We will miss the goof ball, but these success stories are worth every bit!

It's been a while since we've had a canine success story so I have to share!!! This beautiful goofy girl, Millie Cow, has gotten to go back home!!!!
For those of you who don't know her story, Millie was adopted almost a year ago. Unfortunately landlords decided she couldn't stay, so she came back to us. We tried to reunite until her parents decided to let someone else adopt her so she was not stuck waiting. During that time, she has been here, without applications, winning our hearts!
Through unexpected events, Millie's dad was able to pick her up this morning and take her home!! This girl, although no longer a tiny puppy, was definitely one happy puppy to see him! Once she realized who he was she jumped right up to give the loves she's been missing!
It was obvious in the beginning, Millie chose him, dogs are crazy like this! She's never attached to another human. She loves them all, but none of them compared, none of them got the same reaction. We are so happy for these two to finally be back together and for Millie to have the life she was made for!!
This is why we do what we do. This is why we try to help adopting families when times get rough. Because times get better!! This is why we do what we do. This is why we fight so hard to keep these pups out of the shelter, because they would never be able to reunite! They would lose that connection. And each pup most definitely chooses their human. Thank you all for all your support! It makes even a small difference, but it's huge to these animals.
