Casey Community Club & Golf Course

A full field of golfers took to the course last Tuesday for the Ladies Invitational. We welcomed all lady golfers, with some traveling from Mattoon, Charleston, Robinson, Terre Haute, and Princeton, IN. In less than five hours of play, the ladies finished the 18-hole scramble with great scores.

We would like to thank the grounds staff and volunteers for the beautiful course conditions and the pro-shop for all of their assistance with the invitational. Big thank you to the ladies who helped to make the day run smoothly. Shout out to the scorers for the tally as they gave their time as well. Good food and fellowship finished the day with hopes of seeing everyone again next year. Unfortunately, we had to turn down three entries due to the size of our Casey Community Course. So, please get those entries submitted early next year.

The 76th annual Casey Open is scheduled for July 25th and 26th. Every year we honor someone whose hard work and dedication has contributed to its continued success. This year we decided to recognize former members who have passed on who were instrumental in allowing us to continue to the present day. There are many whose names may not appear who also had a hand in our success, but these were the ones nominated by individuals.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY.

The course will be closed Saturday morning for a Kansas Community outing. We will be open for play at 1 pm. The course is in good shape. Come on out!

Starting June 20th, our friends and members at Charleston Country Club can come play our course for $20 on weekdays and $25 on weekends until you get back up and running. If you’re coming on the weekend, all we ask is that you call ahead.

Your generosity towards our membership is always appreciated and we would like to return the favor to you all.

The course will close at 11 am tomorrow for our Rotary Outing. This is one of our bigger events!
