Ireland Day 5 🇮🇪
The farm adventures continued!!
Our first stop of the day was at Lacey Family Farm which specializes in the breeding of Aubrac beef cattle. We got to learn about the breed and desired traits. We saw how the family has managed to meet new demands and opportunities by starting a steel fabrication business on the farm. They also let us love on their cute puppies !
Our next stop was Grow Your Own out-farm where we learned about their organic production of poultry, swine, and vegetables- all to be used in their restaurant. After we worked in their gardens and fed the pigs we loaded up to head to Grow HQ, the farm restaurant, and have a delicious dinner prepared from their harvests.

Ireland Day 4 🇮🇪
The farm adventures!!
We toured The Little Apple Company. Phillip, Anna and their kids gave us a fantastic tour of the orchards. They explained the difference in cooking apples versus eating apples, how the market has changed, and provided us some quality apples, juice, and a crumble to taste. Their kids then gave us a Hurling demonstration and lessons.
We then ventured over to Crowley Family Farm to explore their dairy and potato production. We got to experience a milking shift and learn about their farm’s rich history.
