Upper Cumberland Weather

I greatly appreciate all of you who tuned in for my coverage tonight/this morning. I don’t have hard numbers in front of me right now, but I believe we set a new viewership record tonight. We gained more than 1,000 new YouTube subscribers, putting us very close to 10,000. Our app also soared back up the charts to number 21 on the App Store, even beating out FEMA!

Many are without power throughout the region. I’ve actually been held back at the studio because our home was one of the lucky ones to hit the power outage lottery tonight. It appears we’ve now been restored (huge thank you to UCEMC!), so back to home we go.

The severe threat is well over with now, although winds remain elevated. The Wind Advisory remains in effect through 7 a.m. CDT.

If you have wind damage, please let me know in the comments. With all the power outages, I imagine we have quite a bit of downed trees and other sporadic damage. These winds were no joke, that’s for sure!

Oh, and it’s going to snow off and on today. It will have a tough time accumulating with warm surface temps, but still… snow.
