Day 4,5, and 6:
These days were very busy. We were separated a lot of the times so we didn’t get a lot of group pictures. It was extremely hard with all of the places we could go.
Day 4: we spent the morning at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. It was a very cool place! The BEST part about this place was the gem stones. They had thousands of these things! And of all places, Smith County - Carthage Tennessee made it! A gem stone straight out of the mine.
The afternoon was spent at The Getty, seeing a lot of history. Paintings and sculptures were beautiful! Vincent Van Gogh had a famous painting there. There were gorgeous views of the gardens and grounds, as well as scenery of Los Angeles!
Day 5: We spent the entire day at Disneyland. As CJ Woodard worded it, “Disneyland murdered us”! 😂. We were worn out but so much fun was had!
Day 6: Our final day of a wonderful trip was spent at Universal Studios. Again, we all had a wonderful time!!!

Day 3: We began our day going to downtown Los Angeles. We walked down to the Crypto Arena, home of the Los Angeles Lakers.
We walked to the Grammy Museum where we were able to do some interactive things. Lots of great things to see from former and current singers of all genres and generations.
We headed out to get a quick lunch before heading out to our next excursion, Warner Brothers Studio. We were able to take a tour, see the live set of Young Sheldon and George and Mandy’s First Marriage. We sat in the audience as if we were at a live taping. So cool!! We drove around the buildings , which was just like driving through a neighborhood. These houses and sets included a church where Annabelle Creation was filmed, Growing Pains house, Pastor Jeff’s house in Young Sheldon. The school where Abbott Elementary was filmed, and also doubled as the hospital for The Pitt. We drove by the Full House and Fuller House. Studio 24, where Friends was filmed. Big Bang Theory was Stage 25. So many more that I can’t list, but was so fun! Enjoy all the pics!
We went to the Hall of Fame Garden and walked around until time to eat.
We joined an interactive Improv activity. Local actors/actresses and singers performed and did a workshop for the kids. We laughed a lot and had a great time!
We then drove up the long winding road to the Griffith Observatory. This was our last activity for the day. The observatory views were amazing! You could see all of LA.

Day 2 - Part 2

Day 2: Another great experience of sightseeing!
We started out the day going to downtown Hollywood.
We drove to Beverly Hills and walked the sensational Rodeo Drive. So many shops (too expensive for our taste of course), but hey! We did it! We walked down to the hotel Beverly Wilshire where Julia Roberts portrayed the character Vivian in Pretty Woman.
We then headed out to the Grove Farmers Market in West Hollywood. Great places to eat and shop.
We drove about 1/2 hour back to Hollywood where we were able to visit the Dolby Theatre! This is the theatre where they roll out the red carpet for the Oscars! We walked the very path where so many stars walk! The theater is gorgeous and seats 3400 people! We walked back stage and then onto THE STAGE!!!! The stage is 120’ wide and 60’ deep. It takes thousands of people to put the Oscar Awards together. The story was so impressive. Exiting off the stage, we were escorted to the side where the winners walk the red carpet all the way back to their seats! Words cannot describe the feeling this place brought to everyone!
We then headed to Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood Wax Museum where we were all blown away by the quality of the characters! They seriously looked so real!
We ate dinner (supper) at the Central Market, which has been in place for about 100 years! All kinds of food and sweets to choose from made it perfect!
We finished the night in Pasadena, walking the streets and counting all is the alleys within a 2 block area. There was a lot! It was a beautiful little town.
Such an amazing 2nd day!!

Day one with EF Tours was amazing! Members from the SCP theatre group flew out very early to LA to begin a 5 day journey learning different things about LA.
Once getting off the plane and onto the tour bus, we stopped at Marina del Ray. This is the biggest marina in the country. Many famous artists keep their boats docked, but of course, not in reaching distance.
We then headed to Venice Beach. We walked the port and did some sight seeing. We watched people playing basketball on the court where “White Men Can’t Jump” was filmed. We saw where the famous architecture that Frank Gehry built. This was one of the first buildings built by him on Venice Beach.
We watched a few kids get swept off their feet when “going ankle deep” in the ocean. Such a fun time. We visited Westfield Century Mall (LA’s premier shopping destination!!! What a fun mall that is inside and outside. From there, we headed to our hotels for the night.
What an exciting time we’ve had thus far! We will post more pictures from the days ahead!
