🚀Today was an inspiring day at the Bridges Out of Poverty workshop, where we explored concrete ways community advocates can combine our specialties, talents, and resources to uplift those who have lost their way. Huge thanks to Andi Lannom and Clay Willis for their leadership, and it was great to see Dexter Jones and Ross LeRoy contributing to the conversations. 🤝

In the afternoon I visited Fort McPherson’s VA facility for an event that’s part of the VA’s Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) program; a clinical vocational rehabilitation initiative that provides work training, transitional and supported employment, and employer partnerships to help veterans with mental health challenges, homelessness, or addiction histories re-enter the workforce. It was meaningful to share stories and resources with fellow veterans navigating reintegration. 🇺🇸💼

Special shoutout to Samantha Norment Norment for her leadership, dedication and support. Together we’re building pathways to stability and opportunity. 💪

Yesterday was a powerful reminder of why community and service matter. ✂️🎀 Honored to attend the ribbon-cutting for Convoy of Hope in Emerson, GA, such an inspiring organization bringing relief and hope to families in need. 🙌

At my Bartow Rotary meeting I had a wonderful time watching dear friends Christian Suttle and Kristin Nelson inducted into the club, welcome aboard and congratulations! 🤝 We also received an excellent briefing from Taylor Duncan on Alternative Baseball, a brilliant, mission-driven organization creating authentic baseball opportunities for teens and adults (15+) with autism and other disabilities, focused on empowerment, community education, and inclusion. ⚾❤️

Grateful for these experiences, the new connections, and the organizations making real impacts in our region. Looking forward to supporting Convoy of Hope, cheering on Alternative Baseball, and continuing service with my Rotary colleagues.

💥 Had another amazing day with friends at the Cartersville Business Club!💥

It’s always a joy to gather with such a talented group of people who inspire and motivate each other. Our conversations today were not just enjoyable but also filled with ideas that can truly make a difference in our community. Thanks so much to Dr. Tyra Wingo for the great lesson on the “7P’s”.

🚀I’m also excited to share an upcoming opportunity: the Cartersville High School Career, Technical, Agricultural, and Education Board Advisory event.🚀

This is a fantastic chance for us, as friends and professionals, to come together and support the next generation. By collaborating with community champions like Matthew Gambill, Marc Collier, and Edwin Bonayon we can help shape programs that prepare students for the workforce and ensure they have the tools they need to succeed.

Working with Cartersville High School has been such a rewarding experience, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together. Let’s continue to uplift each other and our community as we pave the way for future leaders!

Let’s keep making an impact together! 💼✨

Another great day at Crosspoint Compassion Center in Cartersville, GA — sharing Christ, swapping stories, and offering encouragement with the residents. Grateful for the chance to serve the underserved, to listen, to pray, and to walk alongside people as they take steps toward hope and healing. Moments like these remind me why community and compassion matter. Thanks so much Andi Lannom for the opportunity!

If you’d like to support or get involved with the center, send me a message — there’s always room to help.

💥 What an incredible day filled with inspiration and connection! 💥

The journey began with a refreshing leadership session at Lifepoint Church, where we explored the power of leading fearlessly and embracing our true identities in Christ. It’s amazing how such insights can fuel our passion and drive!

A special shoutout to the wonderful people I caught up with: Kristin Nelson, Jarvis McAfee, Janae Shatley Camp, Teresa Carter, CC, and Khristie Staines. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with friends who uplift and encourage one another.

Next up was a fantastic social media training at the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce. I had the chance to learn from the best and network with John Daniels and Darnell Jackson Jr. The knowledge shared there is invaluable for anyone looking to enhance their online presence!

To cap off the day, I attended the Q3 Vetlanta Summit at the iconic College Football Hall of Fame building in Atlanta. This event is a fantastic platform for veterans to connect, share experiences, and build professional networks. It was great catching up with Zack A Knight, MBA and making new acquaintances like John W. Phillips, Lindsey Streeter, Curtez Riggs, Tosha F., Yanta Haynes, Romaine Byrd, CPCC, two members from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and so many others.

Vetlanta continues to be a beacon of support for veterans seeking to transition into civilian careers. The camaraderie and resources available are truly inspiring.

Feeling grateful for days like today that remind us of the power of community and collaboration. Here’s to more learning, networking, and growth together! 🚀

🚀What a fantastic evening at the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce’s After Hours event hosted at Georgia Highlands College!🚀

It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with great friends (Jennifer Williams, John Daniels, Gloria A. Calhoun, M.Ed, William "Bill" Smith) and colleagues, sharing stories, laughter, and insights over some delicious refreshments. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the energy of community spirit and collaboration.

A special shoutout to the United Way of Bartow County for their unwavering support and commitment to making our community a better place. Your efforts inspire us all to give back and uplift those around us.

Events like these remind us of the importance of networking and building relationships within our community. It's not just about business; it's about friendship, support, and shared goals. Here’s to more gatherings where we can continue to strengthen our bonds and work together for a brighter future!

🇺🇸🫡 **Reflecting on a Successful Quarterly Veterans Coalition Foundation Meeting** 🫡🇺🇸

This morning, we gathered at VFW Post 2681 for our Quarterly Veterans Coalition Foundation meeting, and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and champion the causes that matter most to our veterans and their families.

A heartfelt thank you to our Honorary Colonel Drew Keenan, whose leadership and unwavering commitment to our veterans inspire us all. Your dedication to the VFW 2681 community is truly commendable!

We were also privileged to hear from Irene Barton Executive Director of Cobb Collaborative. Irene’s insights into community engagement and support initiatives are invaluable, reminding us that collaboration is key to making a lasting impact.

Jeff Keeble from Legal Shield Inc. shared essential resources available to veterans navigating legal challenges. Your guidance is critical in ensuring our veterans receive the support they deserve.

Jeremy Walker, MA representing Helmets to Boots Inc. provided us with an inspiring overview of their programs designed to assist veterans in their transition to civilian life. Thank you for your vital work in bridging that gap!

Don Edward Long of Long Insights Inc. brought his expertise to the table, discussing innovative strategies for enhancing the well-being of our veteran community. Your vision is instrumental in shaping our future initiatives.

Together, we tackled important topics such as mental health resources, employment opportunities, and community outreach programs. The energy in the room was palpable, as we brainstormed ways to expand our efforts and support our veterans more effectively.

A special shout-out to all attendees for their dedication and passion. It’s this collective effort that drives our mission forward. Let’s continue to work together, uplift our veterans, and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
