Today, we're going to highlight a question from our DMs about plate surrender/ registration cancellation.

There are multiple ways to surrender your plates. You start your registration cancellation via MyDMV portal. This will show if you have any registration fee credit. Then, you can use your plates on another vehicle to be registered or surrender them by mail or at a DMV office. Also, submit a resale notification to show you no longer own the vehicle and to protect yourself from future liability.

Mail Cancellation should be sent to Department of Motor Vehicles, Central Services Division, 555 Wright Way Carson City, NV 89711-0700

or you can go in-person without an appointment and drop it off at the information counter.
