Operation Kindness
Operation Kindness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization with a shelter in Texas
In addition to pet adoptions and lifesaving medical care, our programs provide foster care for vulnerable animals, behavior and training support for pet parents, affordable veterinary services for community pets, a pet food pantry, and volunteer opportunities.

In May alone, Operation Kindness Humane Society completed 454 spay/neuter surgeries across Texas through funding provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Texas Spay/Neuter Program (TxSNP).
Since launching this program in April:
•726 surgeries have been completed
•$174,825 in TxSNP reimbursement funding submitted for completed spay/neuter surgeries
• We have partnered with 11 shelters and animal welfare organizations across 7 Texas counties to date
Every surgery helps to prevent future litters, reduces strain on overcrowded shelters, and creates a healthier future for pets and the communities that care for them. Every month, we'll be sharing our progress so our communities can see exactly how these funds are being used to create measurable impact for pets across Texas.

You’ve got a friend in them💛
Older pets have a special place in our hearts, and hopefully in your home. A majority of senior pets are calmer, more experienced, and house-trained—making the adjustment period smoother for you and your new pet. Their lower energy levels can make spending quality bonding time together even easier. If your perfect day involves relaxing on the couch and enjoying life’s quieter moments, a senior pet might be your ideal companion.
An older pet can help you slow down the pace of a busy life and appreciate the smaller moments. By adopting a senior pet, you’re giving them comfort, love, and better health in their golden years while helping shelters make room for more animals in need.
Because every Woody deserves an Andy, and every senior pet deserves a loving home. Stop by and meet our senior pets today.✨

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.
Observed each year on June 19, Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
As we reflect on this important part of our nation's history, we recognize the ongoing importance of compassion, equity, and community.
Together, we can continue building a kinder future for all.♥️💛💚
