ComEd acaba de anunciar que, debido a las fuertes tormentas que afectaron el área de Chicago, más de 100 cuadrillas están trabajando día y noche para restaurar el servicio eléctrico.

La empresa reporta daños significativos, incluyendo cables eléctricos caídos, postes dañados y árboles que afectaron la infraestructura eléctrica.

También informaron que existe la posibilidad de más clima severo en los próximos días, lo que podría retrasar algunos trabajos de restauración.

Según estimaciones basadas en tormentas similares, esperan que aproximadamente el 80% de los clientes afectados recuperen la electricidad para el sábado por la noche.

Si aún no tienes servicio eléctrico, ComEd recomienda mantenerse atento a las actualizaciones oficiales mientras continúan los trabajos de reparación en toda la zona.

Exciting News: New Mold Remediation Standards!

We just found out that the President has signed a new law requiring IICRC mold remediation standards for military housing. What does this mean? It means that these properties will now have to be remediated the proper way, ensuring we keep any mold waste under control and prioritize the health of our military members and their families. We’re really glad to see these important standards helping protect more homes. Just wanted to share this update with all of you!

A customer reached out to us after noticing what she thought was just a “small stain” on her ceiling.
When we arrived, our moisture meter immediately detected moisture behind that spot.

She mentioned the stain had been there since she moved in ,about 1–2 weeks, so we recommended the proper steps:
✔️ Cut the affected drywall
✔️ Clean and sanitize
✔️ Install drying equipment to dry the structure correctly.

But… she preferred to just paint over it.

We inspected the upstairs bathroom and found moisture under her sink, yet she still refused to do anything more than paint.
