REACH Day Program

We stayed busy with a mix of healthy living, community outings, and giving back! 💛

One group got hands-on in the kitchen making delicious yogurt parfaits while learning about the nutritional benefits of yogurt and fresh fruit, healthy and tasty! 😋

Meanwhile, others enjoyed a trip out to our local coffee shop. ☕ With learning to order their own snacks and paying for their meals, to sitting and enjoying the scenery and socializing, it was a great time! 😊

We had a group go to Carnegie Library to volunteer. They even spent time planting flowers, helping make the space more beautiful for the community! 🌼🌿

From nutrition to volunteering, today was full of meaningful moments, teamwork, and fun experiences all around! 🙌

With lots of belly laughs and giggles, we hit the Heinz History Center and turned history into an adventure! 😄📚

From exploring cool exhibits to discovering some wild facts about the past, pointing things out, asking questions, and picking their favorite spots along the way. 🕵️‍♂️✨

It’s always a great opportunity to stay active, take in the fresh air, and enjoy the scenery together. Along the way, participants built social connections, independence, and healthy routines while exploring the community. 🌳💬

There’s nothing better than a good walk with great company! 😁

We got creative in a whole new way, painting without brushes! 🎨

Using a variety of fun materials and techniques, everyone explored different textures, colors, and patterns while thinking outside the box. From dabbing to rolling and stamping, each piece turned into a unique work of art!

This activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and self-expression, all while having a great time together.

We love seeing everyone try new things and create something they’re proud of! 🤩😌

We had an awesome Rock Day at REACH! 🪨✨

Our day was packed with fun and meaningful activities—from a refreshing trip to the Panhandle Trail, to getting creative with a realism art project. We also had the opportunity to give back by volunteering at the new Tiger Moth Mercantile shop in Carnegie, and wrapped things up with a relaxing outing to Heidelberg Park. They loved to do our geode project, some of our participants had the chance to sift through sand to find rocks and crystals, and break open geodes!

It was a full, fun-filled day with something for everyone, and we loved every minute of it! 💛

We had such a fun and unique adventure today at REACH — we went to see the Giant Duck! 🦆💛

A small group loved checking out the larger-than-life display, snapping some pictures, and enjoying something a little out of the ordinary. It sparked lots of smiles, laughter, and great conversation all around!

Experiences like this are a great way to explore the community, try new things, and make lasting memories together. Stay tuned to see where we go next!

A group enjoyed a refreshing walk, took in the scenic views, and spent time connecting with nature and each other. It was the perfect way to stay active, build social skills, and appreciate the outdoors.

Days like today remind us how important it is to get fresh air, move our bodies, and enjoy the little moments together 💚

We got a little creative today at REACH 🎨🪨

Our participants spent time painting rocks to decorate the outside of our building, and the results turned out amazing! From bright colors to fun designs, each rock reflects creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of personality.

Not only was this a fun hands-on activity, but it also helped build fine motor skills, encourage self-expression, and brighten up our outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.
