Round Slings: Polyester and High-Performance Spectra 06/17/2026

Two round slings. Two very different jobs. πŸ”΅

Polyester for everyday lifting that's easy on finished surfaces. Spectra fiber for the heavy lifts where weight matters and capacity has to go up to 300,000 lbs. Soft, flexible, and built to conform to whatever you're lifting β€” both fabricated at our Pittsburgh shop.

Wire Rope Slings: The Amick Lineup 06/12/2026

When the lift is too hot for synthetic, too rough for chain, or too heavy for anything else β€” wire rope is the answer. Built to outlast harsh conditions, sharp edges, and abrasive loads. The right construction depends on the job, and there's more than one option.

We broke it all down on our website. Take a look, or call 412-429-1212.

There's a reason synthetic web slings are so widely used β€” there's an option for nearly every job. Lightweight, easy to rig, and non-marring on finished surfaces, web slings handle everything from machined parts to structural steel.

Amick manufactures synthetic web slings right here in Pittsburgh, with custom lengths, widths, and ply counts.
We broke down the lineup on the website. Take a look, or call 412-429-1212 and we'll help you spec the right one.

Custom No-Touch Tools: When Standard Tools Don't Cut It 05/04/2026

Not every load handling challenge fits a standard tool. When it doesn't, Amick builds one.

The custom no-touch tool process starts with a simple description or sketch of the problem β€” the load, the engagement point, and what the tool needs to do. From there, Amick's team designs and fabricates a solution in-house at the Pittsburgh facility, to the same quality standards as every tool in the standard lineup. Custom is always an option!

No-Touch Load Control: Tag Lines and Sleeves 04/28/2026

Not every load control situation calls for a rigid tool. Sometimes you just need a safe grip point to pull and guide a suspended load where it needs to go. πŸ”—

Tag lines and sleeves do exactly that. Both wrap around chain slings or web slings with a VELCRO closure β€” giving workers a secure, hands-free grip to walk a load along a path without direct contact. Tag lines offer flat, flexible webbing with optional internal reinforcement. Sleeves are cylindrical and fully encircle the sling, with an optional carabiner version for added backup security.

Both manufactured in-house by Amick. Available in multiple configurations.

No-Touch Tools: The M Head 04/22/2026

The M Head β€” hooks on both sides of the shaft, both facing the same direction.

Pull and guide from either side without repositioning the tool. Available across all tool construction types β€” wood, steel, aluminum fixed, and aluminum removable β€” in multiple lengths.
