Concept Two: Timed Cycle Pressure Limited Ventilator for COVID patients. The ventilator is providing 40 cm of PIP and 20 cm of PEEP and 1 liter of tidal volume at up to to 28 BPM. Here is a video of the system working at typical pressures needed for the Covid-19 patient.

Flometrics is assisting in the development of a DIY respiratory device (ventilator) for patients with low to intermediate respiratory distress. Key to our approach is a simplified, easily built method of applying lung back-pressure (PEEP) while simultaneously capturing and reducing the virus in the patient’s exhalations.
