Great time spent with the family on this hunt! Last year I unfortunately lost an elk that I had shot and that meant I had filled my tag in my mind. This year I was able to put a stock on this old old elk and fulfill my tag! These animals never seem to amaze me! Next tag to fill will be in NM in two weeks!

9/1/20 the tag has been punched! Not the one I had my eye on but when I saw him I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to stick this elk! Patience is a virtue when archery hunting, so after a few hours of sitting on this bull he stepped in front of me at 54 yards. #307

Well this should be a very fun and interesting season on the books!
