Emerson recently captured the OHSAA Division II State Championship in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.85 seconds, adding to an already impressive list of accomplishments that included a state title in the 4×100 relay, a state runner-up finish in the 200 meters, and a fourth-place finish in the 4×200 relay.

Her dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence serve as an example to young people throughout our community. The Stark County Prosecutor’s Office is proud to recognize and celebrate the achievements of students who represent Stark County with integrity, perseverance, and pride.

Yesterday, we honored the victims, survivors, and families impacted by gun violence.

The powerful testimonies shared by survivors and loved ones served as a reminder that the effects of gun violence extend far beyond the moment it occurs. Its impact is felt for years by families, friends, and entire communities.

Thank you to Tony Barrino for organizing this meaningful event and to Hope2Serve Outreach for opening their doors and creating a space where stories could be shared, voices could be heard, and lives could be remembered.

Together, we remember, we honor, and we continue the conversation on preventing gun violence.
