It’s finally time to share the secret! 🤫✨ If you’re a Barn Box subscriber, you might recognize this brand-new design. I deliberately kept it under wraps so my lovely club members could get first dibs on casting it on, but today, I’m thrilled to officially release the Pollyanna Triangle shawl to everyone!

I designed this pattern specifically to celebrate our recent Barn Box yarn—a beautiful, springy, 3-ply sport weight 100% Polypay wool.

It’s springy, it’s squishy, and it was such a joy to design. I loved knitting it in a sport weight yarn for maximum stitch definition, but it’s a wonderful canvas that translates beautifully into softer fibers or thinner yarns, too (just adjust your needles!).

swatches and samples i knit over the winter for our mystery retreat project; worth the work just to see janet’s delighted face playing in class today!

If you’ve been thinking about casting on your own Frisée shawl, tonight is the final call for our weekend special. Seeing the way you all play with color combinations for my designs is genuinely one of my favorite parts of being a designer, and this decreasing stitch rhythm is the perfect canvas for your favorite skeins.✨️🧶

Don't miss out on the fun: you can still grab the pattern for 30% off, or get it FREE when you buy any of our suggested yarn skeins. The deal ends at midnight tonight!

I wanted to design something light, airy, and full of joyful movement, and Frisée is exactly that! I’m excited to share it as our Pattern of the Weekend.

When I designed this triangle shawl, I decided to start at the bottom edge with a beautiful lace frill and decrease up toward the neck. That means your rows get shorter and shorter as you go, so your knitting actually flies off the needles faster the closer you get to the finish line! I alternated bands of squishy garter stitch and openwork mesh to keep the rhythm intuitive and relaxing.

The Weekend Deal:
You can take 30% off my Frisée pattern all weekend long, OR get the pattern completely FREE when you purchase at least one skein of our suggested yarn!✨

You all have knit some absolutely beautiful versions of the Miami Cuban Cap. 😍

Looking at finished objects is one of my favorite parts of our community, which is why I always encourage everyone to share their final pieces on Ravelry. Whenever you log your projects, it becomes such a valuable roadmap for other makers! It helps fellow knitters visualize the pattern in different colors, see how various yarns behave, and figure out exactly how the sizing and drape will look on a real person before they cast on.

If you’ve knit a Miami Cuban Cap (or any of our designs!), please take a moment to upload a photo and share your yarn choice. Your project might just be the inspiration someone needs to start their next favorite knit!

If you’ve been searching for that perfect "go-with-anything" hat project, the Miami Cuban Cap is it! It’s our featured Pattern of the Weekend, and I am completely in love with its sleek, chain-link texture.

Best of all, it’s completely customizable with options for a slouchy or close fit, and a single or doubled brim. Both of our shop samples are knit in our Finn Dandy 2-Ply Sport, and the 100% Finn wool makes that interlocking texture pop beautifully!

Suggested Yarn: Finn Dandy 2-ply Sport, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, Targhee Tango Sport, Modern Deco Sport
