JESUS DOESN’T JUST RAISE THE BAR- HE CHANGES THE GAME.

All summer long we are taking time to pray over each of our mission partners. Today we want to highlight Mashoko Christian Hospital. FCC has been supporting Mashoko for decades. Since 1958, Mashoko Christian Hospital has been caring for people in medical need as well as training up medical staff, living out their motto “We preach, teach, and heal”. One of their specialties is pre-natal & birth-care for expecting mothers. You might remember a few years agoo, FCC helped Mashoko acquire a much-needed van by raising nearly 24K for it. One specific prayer you can be praying for Mashoko is that new doctors will feel the call to take on Mashoko as a mission and stay long-term so Dr Bungu can fully retire. Here is our prayer for Mashoko Christian Hospital:

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Rapha - the God who heals and today we lift up to you Mashoko Christian Hospital in Zimbabwe. We thank you for the vision you gave nearly 70 years ago that would bring not only physical healing to the Mashoko area but spiritual healing as well. We thank you for your servant and our friend, Dr. Bungu, for his many years of stewardship of the mission and ask that you’d raise up good doctors who will see Mashoko as a mission in the kingdom so Dr B can begin to rest in retirement. Continue to be gracious and bless doctors, nurses, administrators, and the people they serve, Father, in Jesus’ name. - Amen.

Today we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, mentors, and father figures who lead with love, serve with sacrifice, and point others toward Christ. Thank you for the countless ways you encourage, protect, teach, and invest in the next generation.

We also recognize that today can be joyful, complicated, or painful for many. Wherever you find yourself, we pray that you experience the love, comfort, and strength of our Heavenly Father.

Each Sunday this summer we are praying specifically for one of our local or global mission partners. Today, we prayed for James & Brittany Foster and the Jardín De Gracia school in Honduras. Please keep this incredible ministry in prayer, and specifically pray this week for the team from FCC who is heading to Honduras this week to serve at Jardín De Gracia.

Here is our prayer: Father - We lift up to You Jardín de Gracia in central Honduras. We ask for Your continued blessing over and provision for the school and the families it serves as it continues to be salt & light in the community. We thank You for our missionary friends, James & Brittany Foster, as they continue to lead faithfully. And, God, we ask for your grace over our mission team as they travel to Honduras and serve Jardín in the days ahead.
