We assist with trap neuter return with feral cats, and on occasion will try to find homes for the young offspring of ferals in the colonies we assist, but we do not accept referrals of kittens needing placed. Peace for Pets' two main programs are the Safe Haven for Pets and the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of Feral Cats. Safe Haven: Often survivors of domestic violence fear that their pets may be harmed if they leave a bad situation. However, it can be a challenge for people in this situation to find a safe place for pets while they're struggling to find a safe place for themselves. We provide short-term foster care for the pets of individuals who are entering a domestic violence shelter. We can accommodate many types of pets; not just dogs and cats. TNR: We promote, train, and practice Trap-Neuter-Return as the only effective and humane method for controlling the feral cat population.
