25 years ago I worked for a small assisted living community in Washington state. Being three hours behind-I woke up to the attacks and watched in disbelief when the first tower fell. I was frozen until I realized I had over 60 residents who wouldn’t understand what was happening due to dementia, some who had survived WW11 and Vietnam Nam and had PTSD and would need comforted. I went to work and we all watched the news unfold. Years later I went to the National Memorial and toured the museum. It was incredible. If you have an opportunity to go-please do. I will never forget. As a nation we will never forget.
