AF7 BBQ’s Food Truck & Catering service offers heavenly, mouth-watering smoked meat, seafood, & grill That win sparked a flame that he could no longer ignore.

Chef Joseph Martin started AngelFire7 BBQ, LLC because of his passion for putting flame to meat. That passion started at an early age when he would watch his dad cook steaks on the grill. He says, "I can still smell and hear those steaks sizzilin’ to this day!"
Now, fast forward to 1996 in Texas where he bought his first in-ground natural gas grill. That grill is where he learned how to slow-roast

a Standing Beef Rib Roast – a specialty of his. Grilling was great and life was good but he started to see smokers here, there, and, pretty soon, everywhere. A neighbor had a small Brinkman smoker that he wasn’t using very often and offered to let Joseph use it. That small gesture turned into rib-cooking contests or “rib-offs” with some of the neighbors. Pretty soon they were having neighborhood parties where they would cook large quantities of food for holidays, special events, or for no reason whatsoever other than to cook. After returning to Georgia in 2005, the Lord continued to bless Joseph and he was able to sharpen his culinary skills over several years by experimenting on family and friends with various sauces and cooking techniques. In 2010, he won 1st Place in the “People’s Choice” category at a local chili cook-off. Joseph finally purchased the materials to build a “real” smoker and enlisted the welding skills of Steve Rapp. Together they designed and built a small trailer smoker and the rest, as they say, is history…
Fast forward again to 2013. The Lord continues to bless Joseph and he took first place in Pork Butts at a July 2011 competition in Savannah using an unfamiliar smoker and a crew he’d never worked with before. AngelFire7 BBQ has expanded their smoker fleet to include a Southern Pride commercial unit on a trailer which they use for larger catering events and their Professional BBQ Competition Team "Smokin' for You". Today, they have added "Thelma Jean" to the team! TJ is a 2003 Freightliner MT55 custom chassis that started life as a mobile dialysis unit. She is equipped with a complete 160 sq. foot commercial kitchen, 12kw diesel genset, 2-15K BTU roof a/c units, air ride suspension and auto leveling system. Look for Thelma Jean on the road! AF7 BBQ will be in downtown Calhoun both Friday and all day Saturday for the Boogie and BBQ fest!

Guardians of the Jukebox will be playing at 6:00 and we will be selling your favorite sandwiches and sides along with our award winning Brunswick Stew.

Saturday specials til we run out smoked bologna grilled cheeses and street corn pasta salad.

Hey all you BBQ Foodies. It’s festival season. Come out and join the team for the BBQ and Brews in downtown Cartersville this Saturday April 18th.

Next Saturday April 25th will be in downtown Calhoun for the annual BBQ and Boogie festival.

All your favorites from AF7 BBQ will be available. Specials til we run out smoked Bologna Grilled Cheese and new this year our Street Corn Pasta Salad.

The AF7 team will be in downtown Calhoun for the BBQ, Boogie and Blues Featival on Saturday 4/26. If you missed us in Catersville, come see us for some great BBQ.

Our specials until we run out is a fan favorite Banana Pudding and Smoked Turkey Sandwiches.

Our sampler which is enough for 2 people includes Pork, Chicken, Ribs, Smoked Sausage and 2 sides. It also includes a bottle of our signature rub.

Another fan favorite is our Kitchen Sink which is a bowl of indulgence with Pork and Chicken topped off with Bourbon Beans and Smoked Mac-N-Cheese.

We will also have plenty of Brisket and newly added Rice Bowls topped off with your favorite protein.

It is with a humbled heart that I announce the closing of AF7 BBQ as of 31DEC22. I want thank you all from the depths of my heart for the support, love and encouragement you've given over the past 11 years. My family, friends, employees and customers have been paramount in the huge success of this business!
