For today (6/15) only… we had a new CEO for a day at CommQuest!
Owen (11 years old) stepped into the big chair and he hit the ground running. From handing out cookies (best executive decision ever) to learning how we make an impact, Owen got a firsthand look at how hope happens here every single day.
He kept us on our toes and reminded us why this work matters so much. Thank you, Owen, for leading with heart and curiosity! We hope you enjoyed your day at the helm of CommQuest and we think you have a bright future in leadership.
A special thank you to Owen’s dad, Anthony, for helping make this meaningful experience possible and for supporting CommQuest’s mission through our Taste of Hope fundraiser this past April.

Thank you to Kim Friley, clinical director, justice and assessment services, Matt Bell, alumni & recovery engagement coordinator, and Bill Deeser , multimedia specialist, for connecting with our community at a resource fair in Massillon.
Events like this help us meet people where they are, share resources, and build meaningful connections with individuals and families in our area.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, we loved learning about you and having the chance to share more about how we support those in recovery.
The resource fair was presented by OVP Health Recovery Center and Ray Recovery and included outpatient programs, long-term treatment, sober living, recovery support services and community partners to help those looking for services connect.

We are grateful to the state legislators who represent Stark County for investing their time in understanding local needs and championing projects in the Ohio capital budget. CommQuest is grateful to be included to receive capital funds to support two key projects that ensure individuals and families in Stark County have access to safe, welcoming and effective spaces for care.
In Massillon, funding will help complete renovations at our Fuline Center that houses several nonprofits including our Family Living Center, which is the largest family emergency shelter in the county. This project builds on a significant local investment already made to address urgent safety and infrastructure needs. The remaining work will allow us to finish key areas of the building, including potential space for additional nonprofit organizations, community gathering areas, and shared living spaces for residents.
In Canton, funding will support critical repairs to the roof at our busiest outpatient campus on Cleveland Avenue. This facility serves as a central hub for addiction treatment, behavioral health assessment, workforce programming, and community services. Replacing the roof has become a necessity after years of repair, ensuring uninterrupted care for the thousands of individuals who access services there each year. State capital money for the roof is a great start and we are working on raising money for the rest of the funds needed to complete the project.
