As the holidays approach, The Stark Community Jaycees would like to thank the community, our partners, members, and everyone who helps make what we do possible! As a thank you, our group has decided to offer a handful of chapter-sponsored memberships, from now through December 13th. This opportunity allows someone to sign up for $10 for the first year, rather than the regular $60 membership dues.

The Stark Community Jaycees would like to give a warm welcome to our newest member Alex Keller! President Eric Smer swore in Alex at our Friendsgiving get-together this week at the home of two of our local Jaycee Senators, Shelley Knight-Bourn and Zach Bourn.

Congratulations to Captain Gary Coen of the North Canton Fire Department-Ohio on his recognition as the Ohio Building Officials Association Fire Official of the Year! Gary has been a long-time friend of the Jaycees and helps our chapter run Safety Town every year for the local kiddos. Thank you, Gary, for your dedication to keeping our community safe!

We are extremely proud to announce that Captain Gary Coen was selected as the Ohio Building Officials Association (OBOA) Fire Official of the year. Captain Coen was selected to recognize his commitment and contributions to the code enforcement profession and public safety. Captain Coen was nominated by Martin VanGundy IV, Chief Building Official for the city. The award was presented at the OBOA banquet on Monday, November 17th in Dublin, Ohio.
