Come join us in meeting our veteran owned businesses in the Cherokee County area. This event is Completely FREE to veteran owned businesses and general attendees. Veteran owned businesses can sign up at vfw5262.org or at the link below.

Update:
The VFW 5262 post will be having a chili cook off on November 18th from 1 - 3 pm. Sponsors who have contributed include: BEARDED MAFIA COMPANY, BUBBA BRUSH, JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, Revival South Apparel Co., Alma Coffee, Nina's Pizza Kitchen, EWT Designs.

First Place Prize is definitely a winner: Charbroil Grill with side burner, vegetables tray, grill cover, utensils, grill brush. Plus a basket full of goodies including a $50 car wash coupon, $100+ worth of beard care products, 12 various T-shirts, handmade tea candle holder and a $25 pizza gift certificate. Over a $600 value.

Cherokee County - with Fall Break here, take a look at this. There is just over one month left to enter these two scholarship programs Enjoy your fall break, but get in on the award money and experience.

2023-2024 Youth Program Scholarship Competitions are OPEN! If you or your child are a middle school or high school student, the annual Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy Programs are here for you!

Local level prizes:
Patriot's Pen (Middle School): 1st Place = $300, 2nd Place = $200, and 3rd Place = $100

Voice of Democracy (High School): 1st Place = $400, 2nd Place = $300, and 3rd Place = $200.

Winners move on to District competition to earn more money and a chance to move onto State and National competition. National scholarships for top prizes are $5,000 for Patriot's Pen and $35,000 for Voice of Democracy.
