Come out to the canton Lowe’s and get a poppy in remembrance of those that never returned home.

The VFW 5262 post will be having a chili cook off on November 18th from 1 - 3 pm. Sponsors who have contributed include: BEARDED MAFIA COMPANY, BUBBA BRUSH, JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, Revival South Apparel Co., Alma Coffee, Nina's Pizza Kitchen, EWT Designs.

First Place Prize is definitely a winner: Charbroil Grill with side burner, vegetables tray, grill cover, utensils, grill brush. 2023-2024 Youth Program Scholarship Competitions are OPEN! If you or your child are a middle school or high school student, the annual Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy Programs are here for you!

Local level prizes:
Patriot's Pen (Middle School): 1st Place = $300, 2nd Place = $200, and 3rd Place = $100

Voice of Democracy (High School): 1st Place = $400, 2nd Place = $300, and 3rd Place = $200.

Winners move on to District competition to earn more money and a chance to move onto State and National competition. National scholarships for top prizes are $5,000 for Patriot's Pen and $35,000 for Voice of Democracy.
