Canton is pleased to announce the launch of a new Transportation Safety Action Plan; a comprehensive initiative aimed at eliminating traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries on our local roadways.

To ensure the plan reflects the needs of our community, there will be extensive public engagement starting with an online survey to provide direct feedback on your daily commute and safety concerns. This project is made possible through a Safe Streets for All grant awarded to the Township by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Using these federal funds, Canton is working to identify specific streets and intersections that have the greatest need for safety improvements. The final plan will not only establish clear goals for reducing traffic incidents, but it will also develop design concepts to transform the highest-priority locations into safer spaces for everyone. The goal is to ensure that everyone, whether traveling on foot, on wheels, or in cars, is safe and secure while moving through Canton.

Today’s the day that Christmas in the Village returns to Cherry Hill Village from 3 to 7:30 p.m.! Don’t miss out on this family-friendly event that is so popular that it’s expanded beyond the Village Arts Factory to include additional locations such as the Cherry Hill Village Fountain, Indigo Salon, Spa & Boutique, Maraschinos Pub, and Greenland Market & SAJ Canton. Festivities include a tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Village Arts Factory, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road, as well as free visits/pictures with Santa Claus, festive drink and food vendors, a curated artisan market, live petting zoo, carolers, and so much more.
