Here’s an f350 wheel that requires stick on weights

Is your truck shaking at 60 mph and over? Even after you just had tires put on? I’ve been noticing some less than adequate wheel balancing being oerformed by tire stores. If your truck (or car) has no fl**ge on the outside on which weights can be fastened, then even your 1 ton truck requires stick-on weights, which are time consuming to do properly.But simply taking the heavy spot out of the 3 dimensional wheel by pounding weight only on the inner fl**ge(static balance) is not good enough. I’ve been running into some terrible wheel balance jobs where the wheel was balanced better after I pulled the weights off that were just put on. That’s right the wheel was balanced better without any weights. i’ve actually been running into this for decades, but it’s much more of a problem the way they’re making wheels nowadays…that is with no outer fl**ge-even on 1 ton trucks.

The aforementioned post I intend to do will require a video which I don’t have time for nor a camera person rn.i used to consider my method of removing these tapered stud type bushings proprietary since I came up with it myself or rather I improved upon my dads method. It doesn’t come up as often having to replace these tricky ones because it’s really har to knock these super duty’s outa line and the twin I beam style (2wd) have a pinch bolt (non tapered) easy to remove bushing. But we used to stock 2 of every size and style since every ford pickup and van took them and they all pulled to the right(until I was done with them)
