Low Voltage Technician
SOS Security Systems – Now Hiring
SOS Security Systems is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician with strong field knowledge in security systems, cameras and networking infrastructure. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in clean installations, high quality workmanship, thinks independently, and wants to grow in the most advanced security technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Installation, service, and troubleshooting of:
o Fire alarm systems (must be licensed)
o Burglar alarm systems
o Access control systems
o CCTV systems/remote video monitoring
o Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber)
o Network infrastructure and WiFi systems
• Router, switch, and access point installation and configuration
• Network device setup including IP addressing and port forwarding
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams
• System programming with multiple panels
• Performing service calls and diagnostics
• Maintaining clean, organized job sites
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of low voltage experience preferred
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Experience configuring routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Ability to troubleshoot IP-based cameras and network devices
• Ability to run conduit and cable neatly and efficiently
• Valid driver’s license
• Professional communication skills
