got a storage unit to keep my stuff safe while my family has to live in a hotel just to have this happen. I run a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue organization & all of our event supplies were ruined and had to be trashed because the mouse infestation was so bad. we did not keep ANY food in there at all— I don’t know how this could happen 😭

At some point recently mice infested our storage unit ruining almost all of our rescue supplies for events, extra foster items, items we sold, and even personal family items. The infestation was so bad it caused an avalanche and at first we couldn’t even get into our unit.

I am going to try to salvage what plastic items I can like the carriers and the tables. everything else will have to be trashed 😭 hoping the items in the containers are okay as most were sealed. trying so hard to not crash out over this.

if you love kittens then please understand why spaying and neutering of outdoor and community cats is so important because only 1 in 4 will survive past 6 months. in some estimates it’s as low as 4, and as someone who TNRs community cats and rescues strays, it’s absolutely believable. kittens don’t deserve to be born and not get to live life. it is humane and safe to spay a pregnant feral or community cat.

Please help these very lucky former feral kittens on their adoption journey by sponsoring a spay or neuter surgery (or both!) It is $50 per cat per surgery. This does not cover their snap test or initial shots, flea treatment, or dewormer. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue, we rely solely on donations from the public. Thank you for caring about.

head start animal rescue recently received three separate litters & they are all VERY hungry babies? we are down to our last case of wet food & could absolutely use more (if anyone can please donate!)

while kitten food is what we are most in need of right now, pellet litter & flea treatment is also always in demand. thank you so much & if you’re unable to donate, please like, comment, and share out this post!

Meet Masuda 🧡
A sweet old man who made it off the streets of Philly and into a soft, sunny life.

These days, his favorite thing is stretching out in the warmest spot he can find and passing out like he’s got zero worries left. He still has his playful side too, especially when a wand toy comes out… or when he catches a whiff of lunch meat. That will get him up real quick.

He loves to climb up high like he’s still a young guy, but sometimes needs a little help getting back down. It just makes him that much more endearing.

Masuda really is the total package. Gentle, affectionate, and easy to love.

The only reason he’s still waiting is because he is FeLV positive, which means he needs to be the only cat or go to a home with other FeLV+ cats. He’s currently being fostered with other cats and does great.

He’s already been through enough. Now he just needs someone to choose him.

if you feed them PLEASE fix them too. we have so many requests incoming to help kittens and abandoned adult cats. please spay and neuter. it is literally the only sustainable solution to the pet overpopulation problem 💗

please share this video with anyone you know who is feeding cats and on the fence about fixing the them. It is the only way to stop unwanted litters from being born!
