🤝💡 Ila Kumar: Innovating with communities

Shoutout to Ila Kumar, a sixth-year PhD student in the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab, on her MIT News feature! 👏

Ila develops technology alongside young people who have experienced trauma, particularly those involved in the child welfare system.

Before graduate school, she began questioning whether her "tech for good" work was making a lasting difference, which led her to a different approach: building technology with communities rather than for them.
