It’s been quit a jammed packed few days for the Paul Revere Battalion. We kicked off this weekend with Campus Preview Weekend for all the incoming freshman. Next up was “bring a friend to PT day” for Harvard, then the senior class celebrated “Senior Night” at PKL Boston - Pickleball and bean bag toss- and finally we had several Cadets participate in the Tough Ruck- a 26.2 mile ruck traditionally the day before Marathon Monday where they had to fund raise enough money to participate. This is a great event that honors fallen service members and First Responders. Harvard Cadet Justin Mucherino ended up winning in his ruck weight class. These cadets are incredible!!

A couple weeks ago, the PRB conducted its Spring Combined Field Training Exercise with BU, Northeastern, University of Rhode Island and Providence College. It was cold but the training was well worth it. MS1/2 cadet were able to partake in rappelling, Field leader reaction course and some Land Navigation. The MS3 cadets conducting Situational Training Exercise lanes through the Joint Base Cape Cod forest while also conducting Land Navigation. The MS4s rocked as the Task Force staff and the primary facilitators of the entire exercise. Our Army is in good hands!

This week just before Spring Break, the Battalion came together for joint MS1-3 training in preparation for the Combined Field Training Exercise in 2 weeks. This lab consisted of MS2 cadets teaching tactics to other MS2s and the MS1s. The MS3s were preparing to the integrate the MS1/2 cadets into a patrol base set up in Briggs Field. Some good training as the weather starts to improve.

Last week, the Paul Revere Battalion conducted a mini version of the Field Leader Reaction Course (FLRC) and we also had a pretty intense squad challenge.
The Weekly squad challenge is a series of different events that tests the Cadets Military knowledge and some physical challenges. This week we are highlights Cadet Woolley who did a plank for 4 minutes and 38 seconds. With this win, she gained some valuable points for her squad towards the overall squad challenge.
At the end of the semester, the points will be added up and the overall squad challenge winner will be awarded a cool prize.

Every year the MIT Army ROTC hosts the Greater Boston Branch Orintation event for the 3 Boston programs - MIT, BU, and Northeastern.
During this event the cadets can have open discussion with the Advanced Civilian School Officers getting their advanced Degree or the senior leaders LTC AND COLs doing a fellowship for the Army. The cadets learn about the Army’s 17 branches- maybe 15 - now that Transportation, Quartermaster, and Ordnance are all the LOGISTICS branch.
This opportunity is invaluable as they start to really make their decision on how they want to spend their military career. Furthermore, representation from USAA, 2LT fellowships, WOMEN IN THE MILITARY, National Guard, and reserves all are able to discuss aspects of the Army.
Afterwards, the PRB cadets hosted the Boston College Cadet for an informal social as we welcome Boston College as part the Paul Revere Battalion in summer 2026.
