Moving to Connect is bringing an Improv Workshop Series to The Dance Complex on Fridays 6/5 and 6/12!

This class draws from a variety of somatic practices and anatomical fundamentals to find connectivity within the body. Each class focuses on one main movement principle, which is explored through improvisation scores. Participants will learn tools to expand their range of movement while dancing in a fun and supportive atmosphere!

Flamenco Dance Project and Yuling Spanish Dance present ¡Bailaremos! at The Dance Complex on Saturday 6/13 at 7pm!

¡Bailaremos! is a vibrant celebration of passion and rhythm that invites the community to experience the soul-stirring art of Flamenco. This special evening features the collective artistry of Alfonso Cid, Dustin Carlson, Sabrina Avilés, and Yu-Ling Hu, alongside the talented students of the Flamenco Dance Project and Yuling Spanish Dance. It is an invitation to gather, witness the power of movement, and strengthen our community bonds through the shared language of music and dance.

Allison Talis returns to the Dance Complex on Sunday 5/31 and 6/28 for her workshop Medicine Dance: The Journey!

This monthly workshop weaves sacred ritual, creative modalities, somatic awareness and movement. The Journey is a tool to help us navigate stress, anxiety, uncertainty and fear, while also celebrating life. It is an experience to come back HOME again and again to that which is real, that which is now and that which is eternal.

We will land and anchor with meditation and visualization, followed by our closing circle.

Please bring a journal/ paper, a pen, and water.
